Government orders to abstain amusing gatherings and to go out alone for capital business acquire all but shut bottomward the businesses in NOTO. As of Thursday morning, hardly a boutique was accessible alternating N. Kansas Avenue.
“We had a accumulation affair of a few of us in the artery this morning to allocution about what anniversary of is action to do to advance and what we ahead is action to appear bottomward here,” Melissa Miller, buyer of Phoenix Finds NOTO, 823 N. Kansas Ave., said beforehand in the week. “We are all open, action advanced and aggravating to accomplish some adjustments and things we can do to admonition out.”
But aback the Shawnee County Bloom Department clearly ordered the cease of restaurants and bars, the NOTO commune went into hibernation.

“We knew it was aloof a amount of time,” Concepcion said. “We were action day by day, aloof accomplishing our best to break open. But now we’re press off admonition for our advisers if they appetite to book for unemployment, to acquaint them of their resources. And we’re giving to them all the aliment that’s here. There’s no charge of accepting it here. I’m authoritative baggies of aggregate we have, aggravating to admonition them out as best we can.”
Before the bloom deparment’s order, Rachel Stutzman, co-owner of Stutzman Leather Shoppe at 840 N. Kansas Ave., said aliment businesses were demography the better hit.
